Equi Rescue - Emergency Mix

About Equi-Rescue:

Emergency Mix is a nutritional supplement designed to be mixed through your horse’s regular feed during periods of stress.

Equi-Rescue is a concentrated herbal blend of Valerian, Passionflower and Vervain, carefully combined to support nervous-system and relaxation support during periods of heightened stress.

This blend is designed to be kept on hand for those situations when your horse needs additional support to relaxation and a composed mindset — whether that’s a storm rolling in, travelling, a stressful change of environment, recovery from an injury, unfamiliar surroundings or another particularly challenging event.

For moments when your horse needs a little extra support.

Horses are naturally sensitive animals, and periods of intense stress can challenge their ability to remain calm, focused and settled.

Why to feed Equi-Rescue:

Suitable for all horses prone to stress. Can be fed to all horses as part of their daily diet.

Valerian Root (Valeriana Officinalis): Valerian is the primary calming herb in Equi-Rescue and is traditionally regarded as one of the stronger nervine herbs.

Passionflower (Passiflora Incarnata): Passionflower brings a softer, complementary nervous-system action to the formula.

Vervain (Verbena Officinalis): Vervain is our balancing herb. Traditionally used by herbalists as a nervine herb, vervain has a long history of use for horses and other animals experiencing tension, restlessness and stress. It is included to complement the stronger calming herbs while supporting the digestive system and overall nervous-system balance.

Together, they create a concentrated emergency calming formula for horses experiencing periods of heightened stress.

Equi-Skin
from $55.00

About Equi-Skin:

Nourish the skin. Support the immune system. Support the whole horse.

A comprehensive nutritional equine formula designed to support healthy skin, coat condition and the body's natural resilience during seasonal change.

Skin isn't an isolated system.

When a horse is experiencing ongoing skin challenges, we need to look beyond the surface and consider nutrition, the skin barrier, immune response, environmental exposure, gut health and dietary toxin exposure as part of the bigger picture.

A horse's skin is one of its largest organs and requires a steady supply of quality nutrients to maintain normal structure, hair growth and coat condition. Equi-Skin was created with this whole-horse approach in mind.

Designed to support:

✓ Healthy skin function
✓ Normal hair and coat growth
✓ Strong, healthy coat condition
✓ Nutritional support during seasonal changes
✓ Horses prone to seasonal skin sensitivity
✓ Horses experiencing increased environmental challenges
✓ Overall skin and coat nutrition

For moments when your horse needs a little extra support.

🌸 PERFECT FOR SEASONAL CHANGES

Equi-Skin can be particularly useful to introduce during:

🌱 Spring pasture changes
☀️ Warmer weather
🦟 Increased insect activity
🌧️ Humid seasonal conditions
🍂 Autumn coat transition
✨ Periods of poor coat condition

It can also be fed year-round as part of a horse's nutritional skin and coat program.

🌿 WHY START BEFORE SPRING?

Don't wait until the scratching starts.

Seasonal skin problems can become particularly challenging once warmer, humid conditions arrive and biting insects become more active. Queensland/sweet itch is an allergic reaction to insect saliva, particularly from Culicoides midges, and management generally involves reducing insect exposure alongside appropriate skin care and veterinary management where required.

Think of Equi-Skin as part of your horse's seasonal skin-support routine.

🛡️ SUPPORTING THE SKIN BARRIER

Healthy skin is your horse's first line of defence.

The outer skin barrier helps regulate moisture, protects against environmental exposure and forms part of the horse's immune defence.

In horses affected by insect bite hypersensitivity, research has identified changes in genes associated with skin barrier function, keratin formation and immune activity.

When a horse is constantly scratching and rubbing, the cycle can become:

Insect exposure → immune response → itching → rubbing → skin damage → compromised barrier → greater vulnerability

Equi-Skin provides nutritional building blocks to support normal skin and hair production, while providing botanical and nutritional support as part of a broader seasonal management program.

Horses are naturally sensitive animals, and periods of intense stress can challenge their ability to remain calm, focused and settled.

🌿 SUPPORTING NATURAL DETOXIFICATION

The body is constantly processing and eliminating compounds.

The liver, gastrointestinal tract and kidneys are major components of the body's normal processing and elimination systems.

The goal isn't to "detox" the horse with a magical cleanse.

Instead, good nutritional management aims to reduce unnecessary dietary challenges and support the body's normal physiological processes.

And this is where Mycosorb A+ has a very specific role in Equi-Skin.

🧹 WHY "DETOX" MATTERS WHEN SKIN IS COMPROMISED

When we're dealing with a horse experiencing chronic skin irritation, we're looking at a horse whose body may be dealing with ongoing environmental and inflammatory challenges.

But rather than thinking of detox as a one-off cleanse, think of it as reducing the overall burden on the body's normal processing systems.

That means looking at:

🌾 Forage quality
🦠 Gut health
🧲 Mycotoxin exposure
💧 Hydration
🥕 Nutritional adequacy
🌿 Botanical support
🛡️ Immune function
✨ Skin barrier nutrition

Equi-Skin addresses several of these nutritional considerations in one formula.

🛡️ THE IMMUNE–SKIN CONNECTION

Your horse's immune system is intimately connected with the skin.

The skin isn't simply a covering — it contains immune cells and participates actively in detecting and responding to environmental challenges.

This becomes particularly important with insect bite hypersensitivity.

When a susceptible horse is bitten by Culicoides, components of the insect's saliva trigger an allergic immune response. This can result in inflammation, intense itching and subsequent self-trauma.

That's why Equi-Skin isn't designed around one single ingredient.

We're taking a whole-system approach:
